The PENN's Fundraising activities 2017
We have some exciting activities to help raise funds for educational needs of children in deprived communities. The aim is to do something charitable, whilst having fun and getting healthy. If you need a 'PUSH' to climb your tree, then check out the challenges below and see what inspires you. They are all designed with maximum fun, fitness and health in mind.
But you can come up with your own challenge. What ever you would like to do to help raise funds for the PENN, tell us about it.
You can keep us updated by posting to our Facebook and Twitter pages, and doing your own social media profiles. Blog and blag too so others will see your progress and be inspired. At the end of the series of challenges, we'll organise an evening to showcase the most successful challenges and the amount raised.
The amount we are aiming for is £3000 to help Odoi Atsem Memorial Preparatory School in Ghana. The school's infrastructure is in progress and needs the funds for completion. Have a look at our PROJECTS page for more details about the school and its current condition.
Vegan/Raw Health Challenge*
Join our members for this healthy eating, lifestyle changing activity. You decide how long you want to do the challenge for, but it must be between 1-4 weeks.
You can either do a strictly Vegan, combine Vegan and Raw meals or do all Raw. The choice is yours. Get as many of your family and friends to sponsor you and you can ask others to join in too! If you register for this challenge you'll have access to a nutritionist, Reshma Karia, who will offer you a FREE 30 minutes consultation. Get in touch for your Free consultation with Reshma.
You can start the challenge any time from Friday 31st March 2017, aiming to complete it by Wednesday 31st May 2017. Do make sure you take time to prepare for the challenge. And good luck!

Bicycle Ride challenge
We've teamed up with the Lake Foundation's Cycling Club for a sponsored Cycle Ride. You will need a bike to take part. Get your family and friends to sponsor you and get fit cycling.
The challenge takes place at the Saturday 29th April, so hurry and register. It will be in Croydon, South London for 4 hours.
For the diehards, you can join two of our members to take part in our 10K challenge. You have a few weeks to shape up before the challenge starts in May - see note.** You can start with the Bike Ride challenge, if you like - just to keep fit and active before you go for this biggie!

If you're interested in doing this challenge you can join some of our members who have opted to do the Queen Elizabeth 5k or 10k run in Olympic Park. You can join in here. This run takes place on 14th May and costs £21. OR you can find you're own 10k run to raise money for the PENN.
The Big Soul Line Dance
For those formation dance lovers, this will be a chance to show off your moves to soulful tunes in our BIG LINE DANCE in the park. This activity is sponsored by Johmard Fitness and Dance. We want to make this a spectacular fundraising drive and need as many people as possible to join in. It costs just £5 to participate. So get your fun-loving friends to take part with you and learn some new grooves whilst raising funds for educational needs.
The Big Soul Line Dance will take place Sunday 20th August, 1pm at Tooting Bec Common, Tooting Bec Lido.
Do your own challenge!
If you have your own challenge you want to contribute to our fundraising activities, tell us about it! As with the challenges above, you can get family and friends to support you and let them know you're raising funds for the PEN Network. This is your tailor made challenge but being part of the PENN's fundraising drive for 2017 will keep you motivated.
If you are an organisation that shares an interest in what we do, why not sponsor us? By getting your staff involved with some of our challenges this is a great way to encourage team bonding.
